Ney has led a double life. On one hand he has had a successful business career as an engineer, MBA graduate, tech company founder/president, business book author, and finally a mergers and acquisitions advisor using his plane to better represent business owners across the Western US. 

On the other hand he is a life long adventurer: a whitewater kayaker descending class V rapids, a mountaineer ascending to 25,000 feet without oxygen, a rock climber with multiple first ascents, a pilot with over 2,500 hours of flight time and an award-winning photographer. 

The adventures didn’t stop with having a family. Many of the adventures in this book as well as the upcoming Southwest and Northwest volumes were done as a family of four. 

His veterinarian wife Betsy is an accomplished rock climber and is known for her perseverance and ability to coax the last 1,000 feet to a summit out of her kids, husband, and dogs, even when the weather is terrible and no one wants to go. 

This is Ney’s second adventure book. His first adventure book, Fifty Classic Destinations for Pilots: Epic Journeys and Romance in the Western US did well in the aviation market and served as the catalyst for a more mainstream book.
